I would be very grateful if anyone with access to the 1841 census could do a look up for me. I am looking for Mathew Robinson age 53 and wife Elizabeth age 41, he may be listed as a miller and farmer and his place of birth will be Maulds Meaburn (although misspelled on 1851 census as Moulsmeakin). I am also looking for Mathew's brother Robert Robinson age 56 and his wife Elizabeth .
On the 1851 census Mathew was living in Sockbridge so it is likely that he will be in that area in 1841. Robert will also be in the same area or maybe Barton.
Pat I know this isn't the lookup you requested so this reply may be completely useless but just in case.
I happen to have a transcript of the first page of the Maulds Meaburn 1851 census. The first entry is for a Robt Robinson aged 65 a corn miller and farmer with 14 cows and born in MM. He is living with his wife Elizabeth and several of their grown children. I can provide details if you are interested.
There is a Robert Robinson (corn miller and vict Bay Horse) in Maulds Meaburn in the 1829 Parson and White directory.
And there was a Robinson family in MM in 1811 headed by John Robinson (miller) and consisting of 2 males and 1 female.
