Just joined the group and I am posting my interest.
I am researching the Holdstocks.

James Holdstock born abt 1783, Egerton, Kent
married to Anna Evingden abt 1784, Woodchurch, Kent

They had the following children -
William Holdstock born abt 1814 Egerton , Kent
James Holdstock born abt 1821 Charing, Kent
Thomas Leonard Holdstock born abt 1827 Charing, kent
Leonard Holdstock born abt 1831

Any help would be welcome

I am posting this family form the BVRI. Only some of it ties in with your posting which makes me concerned that I may unintentionally encourage you to go along the wrong path. I notice that your dates have not been confirmed. Where did you get your information? A census possibly? Mother of these children Anne not Anna but that is not an uncommon transcription error. Some of this data is from the cences and the online LDS and some of it is from the old death notices held at he archives in Cape Town, South Africa. It does appear to be the family I am researching and have found a few times that names are spelt different on different documents.
