Afternoon all  I decided to check out the site.......Lo,and behold!!!,I think Ive got one....Henry davidson,20,mason.Dunoon. He was pinched in cowal,twice....in 1866-,and in 1867,both for breach of peace,d&d,Assault ,Silly bugger,probably been on "The Turps"!!!! Sadly,thats all Ive found on him  Anyone have any idea about the distance from dunoon to cowal?or any interesting building happening in the area at the time? or suggestions. cheers............chrissy.

Hi all Cowalites, or those with aspirations, As far as I can see, and of course, not wishing to pick nits etc., but on my map, it´s 23 miles from Dunoon to Inveraray as the proverbial crow flies, but 39 if you are so unfortunate as to have to use the road.
