i hope they will have lots more info, because i cant find any of the births, etc on the igi....

Lets hope, he died after 1855.

I had alook myself, for a death of an* Maccaskill(soundex)
and Maclean, and there was one match but not her.....too young.
I had a look at John Macaskill(soundex), R&C.
and, there is a possible brother to Kenneth, John Macaskill 1864 aged 48yrs Mothers suranem Maclean. sth Gairloch.
also 1864 John McCaskill 33yrs Mother surname McIver.

1851 - they are not at melvaig. - they could be at aultbea, but i didnt have time to look. (only had 1/2hr)

question for anybody willing?? are hannah (14 in 1861 & 20 in 1871) and Johan (30 in 1881 & 44 in 1891) the same person? - johannah maybe? or am i just completely stupid?? 
also kenneth's death is registered by his daughter who appears to be "Joan"??
also the macgregors were at: melangaum(sp?), inverasdale in 1861. (didnt have time to check the other censuses for them.

just shutting down computer when i thought of something - grand daughter mary mackenzie would have been born before 1881 census! so i got my discs out again:

- i know it doesnt help with the parents, but it is another branch for my tree and thought i'd let you all know, because you have been great at helping me!!
wish i'd thought of looking at the neighbours on the 1891 census while i was there... never mind, its a good excuse to go back again one day next week hopefully.

Is this part of Gairloch?
Just making sure this is the same family....
I have done myself up a tree of your family so I can keep track...
At a quick look it looks like Hannah and Johan are possibly the same person.

small update...
btw aultbea is in gairloch (as far as i know )
in a previous posting, i had said one of kenneth's daughters may have been alexanderina, but the census was very faded....
i havent confirmed this yet but it looks like she was and married another mackenzie (looking at the names of the children anyway.........)
will need to save up for SP again - lol
