Wilkins families in Bucklebury, Berkshire

Am looking for help with a James Wilkins born 9 Dec 1822 in Bucklebury to Charles and Jane Rixon Wilkins.  James married a Hannah____, date unknown  (1850-1861?)   I know that they had a least 1 daughter and 3 sons (names Thomas, Charles and Henry??).   James is not listed with the rest of the family in the 1841 census.       Most of the children of Chas and Jane immigrated to the United States between 1852 and 1873.   Need d.o.b. or christenings of all children,  more children if there be any,  date of marriage and dates of any deaths for this family.   I do not have Parish Registers for this time period available to me in the United States.  New into English research so could use suggestions and help.    Also  ARE THERE ANY WILKINS-named DESCENDANTS STILL LIVING IN BUCKLEBURY??  Adele

Thank you Willow!!    This begins to solve a mystery created by an undated letter from James' sister that she was sorry to hear Sophia had died.    And also why family members may have misquessed that James' wife was Hannah (instead of Hannah just being a housekeeper AFTER Sophia died.     How can I find a date of death for Sophia  ?

Hi Willow.  I have been off on another tangent with U.S. Wilkins lines and then returned yesterday to do a lot of Census tracking etc. on the Wilkins/Portlock things in England.   

Question:   How do you "locals" get more specific information on bmd than just the "quarter" and year a person was born in?  Is there a way to find to get actual day and month without spending so much $$ on obtaining certificates one by one???   Unfortunately these families were large and I spent a lot just getting my first batch of stuff from the Public Record Office.

Searched the 1841 and 1851 Cenuses which I had ordered from S.L. and found some good stuff (more of Hannah's family) which I followed through on Ancestry.com.    Fun things!  Again I thank you for all the help you have been to me!   It is great to have someone I can ask questions of!!      Adele
