Hi, Would appreciate a look up for Cuthbert Nairn and spouse Jean Laing,children all born in Old Kilpatrick from 1830 -1851.[They married there 1829]
Census or deaths.!!?? Any info please.!!! -Jean must have died after july 1851.
How do I find deaths 
OOPS- Cuthbert remarried 1857,Ann Montgomery,[they emmigrated to Australia 1864.]
On all childrens births he is noted as Overseer at Paper Mills Dalmuir.

am afraid could not find anything about Cuthbert senior but did find the marriage and subsequent children of Cuthbert junior and an Agnes Dunn... will post that info if you want it...

Hi Mo,
Is there info. re Cuthbert jnr and Agnes Dunn, that confirms he is son of this Cuthbert Nairn and Jean Laing.
Have recently been searching OPR at local centre and have discovered an entry for death of Cuthbert Nairn child , that would fit Cuthbert jnr. So now am confused .Would be great if you could disprove /prove.!!
Until this , thought Cuthbert jnr had married Agnes Dunn!!

Cuthbert Nairn Junior married Agnes Dunn June 5th 1855 in Old Kilpatrick
he worked in the Paper Works in Dalmuir in Old Kilpatrick
he was aged 21 and his parents are listed as Cuthbert Nairn and Jean Nairn nee Laing (and she is not listed as deceased)
Agnes Dunn aged 19 daughter of Hugh Dunn (deceased) and Elizabeth Dunn nee Stirling
There are two dates of birth listed on cert... one is as being July 24th 1833 and the other Sept 21 1832.. not sure which is which...
then there are births...
Elizabeth Nairn born December 19th 1855 in Old Kilpatrick
Father Cuthbert Nairn junior and
Mother Agnes Nairn nee Dunn
Birth registered by Cuthbert Nairn Father
Cuthbert Nairn born August 12th 1857 in the Lodge, Dalmuir, Old Kilpatrick
Father Cuthbert Nairn Junior and
Mother Agnes Nairn nee Dunn
Birth Registered by Janet Dunn Aunt

Yes Cuthbert & Jean were also my gggg grandparents, have a family tree on RootsWeb.com.
My direct line is from their Daughter Janet, married John Bryan . --Their daughter Ann Nairn Bryan married John Caldwell,-- their son Albert was my grandfather.

Hi Rustor,
In the last 4-5 weeks I have found another 'family' member, she is a direct descendant of your Janet and John also. Small world!! She lives just outside of Melbourne and since we 'found' each other she has found another 'family member' who lives only a short distance from her.
Can you post a link to your tree on Roots web?
I was born and raised in Sydney and now live in the US. I have one sister and one brother and they both now live in Brisbane.
