I'm tearing my hair out here!! I know that Robert WRIGHT (born about 1830 in Ellesmere, Shropshire) married Hannah PAYNE (born about 1835 in Oswestry, Shropshire), and have records of them on all censuses from 1861 to 1901. However, it's as if they don't exist prior to 1861 (when they were living in Hordley, Shropshire) - I can't track down a reference to their marriage (and being able to order a copy of their marriage certificate would be really, really helpful!) and I've yet to find them on the 1851 census. Obviously they were born pre-registration, but I can't find any reference to their births on the LDS site, either. I think they must have married sometime prior to 1859, when their first (I assume) child was born, and if anyone could find a reference to their marriage, or any other information, I would be extremely grateful! (I think Hannah Payne had a brother, Thomas Payne, born 1839 in West Felton, Shropshire - he was living with Hannah and Robert in 1881).
