Mike from Leicester, can you help ?
Maria Collins of Monks Kirby was married to George Wakelin, tailor and had two children, William and Joseph. Following this she remarried, so George must have died young. Joseph in his turn married and had a child and also died quite young.
The births of these children are from the Monks Kirby Parish Records.
Could these people have been related to the man from Whetstone who also appeared to have left his wife a young widow?
