Clifton link, includes some churchyard records
« on: Saturday 21 May 05 13:28 BST (UK) »

http://www.clifton-beds.co.uk/index.html

Just found this website for Clifton. If you click on churchyard records there are some transcriptions of the gravestones.

Just found some of my related Greens on it.

Well worth a look if you have Clifton people.

Hi Diane
Thank you for that, gave me some more info on my family.  My father is the Arthur Cooper mentioned under Albone, Cooper and Berridge but there are other graves there that I have photos of not mentioned.  I wonder if there is a link between the George Henry Cooper and Henry Cooper mentioned with Mary Green.  Henry is a family name but I cannot go back beyond Henry Cooper b 1811.  My ancestor Betsy Cooper b 1835 disappears not long after giving birth to my great grandfather Arthur Samuel Chambers Cooper in 1855.

Yes, great link Diane, It has some of my Harwood family just below your Greens

And also some Simms that I might be able to connect.

Glad it's helped you both.

I managed to get a copy of the booklet mentioned. It was just £3.50 plus p&p.

Lots of pictues in it.

I have noticed one of the Greens remarried a Cooper, but haven't gone into that yet.

Been doing a computer course so a bit busy, when that finishes in the next couple of weeks will look out all the papers and see whats what.
