I am related to a Mary Scrase b. 1853 in Patcham, Brighton who married George William Blackman 18th March 1877 Patcham, Brighton. Would like to find more information of Mary. I believe her father was called William

I've recently found a Thomas Scrase, B 1812, married Phoebe Advad, B 1811, September 1839 in Keymer. As they're not on the direct line, I'm not spending any time on them at present.

Hi Mark
I was looking for Pipers and Dales on the net and found what you had put on in 06.  I tried to contact you, but had to register, and, when I had done that, I kept getting shifted to Ancestry.  So I got started the only way I could think of.
My husband is the great grandson of Emma Piper.  Emma married George Albert Stone of West Grinstead.  Emma and George moved to Ontario.  My husband was born in Toronto.  I expect you have learned a lot more about the Dale's and Piper's since 06.  We are interested in any information about the families.
Hoping to hear from you.

Hi Scrase Researchers,

Apologies if this is old news, but you might be interested in volume 8 of the Sussex Archaeological Collections - it has a "genealogical memoir" of the Scrase family.  The whole volume can be downloaded from the Internet Archive site.

http://www.archive.org/details/sussexarchaeolo56socigoog

Note that it's one of the site's "Google books" - that means if you want the PDF for download you are taken to the Google site.

But that doesn't always work (although it well might work in this case).  If it doesn't work click the All Files: HTTP link and you will then find a link to the PDF file on the Internet Archive site.
