Joseph Faulkenbridge and Deborah (Hull) married in Bingham 3/4/1791 are my great grandparents 5 generation back.

The records I have seen they lived in Cotgrave Notts, if anyone has any more information on then or their children please contact me.

Hi!
I don't know whether this information will be of any use to you, but a Frederick Faulconbridge witnessed a marriage between two of my ancestors, Charles Bateman and Louisa Baker at St. Nicholas in Nottingham on 17th October 1874.
I was going to look briefly into his background as both my ancestors were from outside Nottinghamshire originally and I thought he may be a work colleague or neighbour, but this is still on my "to do" list!!

Last week, whilst looking for something entirely unrelated, I found this entry in the death notices in Nottingham Daily Express of 10th December 1886 (page 4):
"Falconbridge - On the 8th last, at Bulwell, after a long illness aged 25 years, Sarah Maria, eldest daughter of William Frederick and Sarah Ann Falconbridge."

best wishes,
cally

Hi Cally,

Sorry I can't find that name in my families history.

I have been searching in these locations that I know the Faulcon/Falcon/Fauken/Falken/Falcan/Faulken/Faulcanbridge's came from.
Strelley Village, East Retford, Morton,Elton, Cotgrave and Bigham.

I am trying to find some information on George Falconbridge born in Morton Notts in 1855.

regards
David

Hi Audrey,

Your William Faulconbridge is not in my tree, that said don't mean he's not related.

I don't have a William around 1811.

There are two William's, first one being the son of Joseph Faulkenbridge born 02 Sept 1791 in Cotgrave Notts.

The second one being the above William's son 15 Aug 1830 in Strelley Notts.

I think there is a connection with Bulwell as of yet I have not found it.
I have also in my tree noticed that the first children born nearly always took the name of the mother or father depending on which sex was born.
I have a website with most of the census, births, deaths and marriages for the counties in Notts.
It also has a lot of history and pictures dating back to the early 1800's.
I discovered on this site that the Faulconbridge's had a post office in Strelley and were postmasters.

Not sure if it's possible to post open links on here to other sites.
If anyone would like a link to it please send me a message.
