Lanarkshire War Memorials
« on: Sunday 01 July 12 19:33 BST (UK) »
I'm not sure if this particular resource has been mentioned before, but South Lanarkshire Council has a useful download which lists all local war memorials and the names inscribed on them.  It's available on
http://www.southlanarkshire.gov.uk/downloads/file/419/war_memorials

North Lanarkshire Council appears to be working on something similar, but meanwhile has photographed five war memorials - the photos are available online along with transcriptions of names and other details.

As well as the above links posted by Lizci, the Scottish War Memorials Project has photographed and trancribed 99% of War Memorials (Scotland wide) and includes not only Civic Memorials, like those included on the Lanarkshire list, but Church Memorials, School Memorials, Club Memorials etc.,
