Completed requests
« on: Monday 23 May 05 10:06 BST (UK) »

Is there a way of marking your posts to show that you have received the information requested? Is it possible to move it to a "completed" board yourself, and if so, how?

It would also be really good if there was some way of showing that despite several replies you had not yet had an answer to your query, as I'm sure that once a reply has been received a lot of readers assume it has been satisfactorily dealt with and don't bother to check it out.

Thanks!

Hi Jane,

The moderators are busy working their way through all the messages looking for completed requests.  Please bear with us - it's a long job  Wink  Only they can move the messages to the "completed" board.

If you want to help make the task easier, you can modify any of your messages by using the modify button in the top right corner of the message to include the word "completed."  Or you could modify the subject line to say "completed."  Otherwise we have to read all through the message and try to decide if the requester has really got the inofrmation they were after!

Hello Nell

Yes, I imagine it must be a horrendous task to check through all the messages to see which have been completed! That's why I thought some way of marking the topics would be helpful. Your suggestion of modifying the subject line to contain the word "completed" sounds a good one and I'll do this from now on.

Thanks very much for your help.

You can also modify the subject line to say Still Looking For .

Since viewing this topic, I have decided to modify the Subject Headings of My Topics with Questions, to read as follows:
'Required Answer Received. NOW COMPLETED.'
