Kings Shropshire Light Infantry service in Boer War

Ernest Thomas served with the Kings Shropshire Light Infantry in South Africa. That's not much information but could someone tell me where to start looking for evidence of his service record

There is a knowledgeable chap on the boer War in our FHS that I should see next week - otherwise look at our South African website Heathers Page ( although this was hacked into yesterday) www.genealogy.co.za. Heather Mc allister is a wonderful lady who is extremely helpful and  I am sure she will point you in the right direction
