Summerland

Trying to find the marital connection between Henry Street of Kenilworth and Charles Summerland (son of William Summerland) who was residing at 40 Victoria Street Wolverhampton in 1899. Charles was cousin of Henry Street but Henry did not have any sisters (as far as I am aware). I have drawn a blank when tracing Henry's wife's line. Her name was Sophia Thompson of Berkswell.

Why?
You haven't exactly asked a question. The IGI has lots of SUMMERLAND baptisms in Birmingham - is this your family?
Also a marriage 1846 Henry STREET to Sophia THOMPSON in Coventry.
What info do you already have? Census returns etc would help to pin down the family/ies you are interested in.
Let us know and we'll see what can be done!
kind regards, Arranroots

Charles Summerland was left a legacy in the will of Henry Street ( my GGG,Grandfather's brother) of Kenilworth dated 1900 (Henry Street died in 1899). Henry refers to him as a cousin but he must have come from a female line in the family. Henry had a brother Thomas Louis Street but there were no sisters. Either he came from Thomas Louis's side through his wife Ann Whitehouse from Hampton in Arden Warwickshire or his wife Sophia Thompson from Berkswell also in Warwickshire. But he could have been a cousin once or even twice removed? It is just a loose end that I would like to clear up

There are not many Charles SUMMERLANDs indexed.
One who interests me was born c1864 in Dudley and attended the Blind Institution in Edgbaston, Warks in 1881. (Another pupil was William J THOMPSON b 1868 Cannock, Staffs - could this be a link?) I can't find him in 1891, but in 1901 he is back with his parents and it is noted that he is blind. Maybe he was thought of as a deserving cause?
