Hi Wendy Thanks for that info.   It now seems that there are two different Piper families in my f/tree,  Roll Eyes.  Your Pipers are from Sudbury (right?Huh).

Ellen Piper M Ezekiel Sore,   Ezekiel had a brother Arthur who was my great grand-father.

The other Pipers are from Foxearth Essex -very near Sudbury- Arthur's son Ezekiel b 1884  married  Mary A E Parmenter, it was her aunt Mary Parmenter who M John Piper b 1836.

So which lot has the parents of Martha Piper b c 1875?Huh??    I seem to have one of those families where  brothers from one family marry sisters from another.
