I've noticed replies are doggy too.
I sometimes get notified of replies to messages I've not posted. Guess thats better than getting none at all

For you to get a reply, you must at some time have contributed to that particular thread.
Underneath the 'Reply' box where you type your message is the following three options - If you put a tick in the box of any one of them, I think it is self explanatory what will happen
Lock after Post: Check this if you wish to lock this thread after this post.
Notify of replies: Check this if you wish to be notified of replies to this topic.
Disable Smilies: Check this if you'll be adding code (or don't like smilies).

Do you have a notify box on the toolbar at the top off the page if you do then click on this and you will see a list of threads that you have contributed to, you can delete the ones youve finished with from here as well as your actual post.
