Some people may wonder why there seems to be no FHS for Leeds. This area comes within the scope of  the Yorkshire Archaeological Society (Family History Section), with it's fantastic library at Claremont.

Isn't there an FHS in Leeds?  Most of my husband's family come from that area and I could do with some help!

would just like to add that the sheffield fhs website has a discussion board, and they are extremely friendly and happy to help and do look ups for you.

I would like to add that Morleyfhg also has a messageboard. 

One that is full of old messages that will be closed down later this year due to it being 'spammed'. 

And a NEW one that has just opened for new messages to be posted.  We also have a mailing list.
