Introduction to NEWSPLAN
The NEWSPLAN London and the South East web-site provides details of about 2,500 titles of local newspapers, past and present, relating to the London and South East region of the United Kingdom. 
The entries include main titles and titles of their variant editions for local areas, together with predecessor and successor titles; start and end dates of newspapers; and, where and in what sequences the newspapers are held in (largely) public libraries and archives within London and the South East. Many copies, too, are held by the British Library Newspaper Library.
