Trying to track down Henry LOE or Lowe who was b.c. 1796. Unfortunately, he died in January 1841, age 44, just short of the 1841 census date - and the name spelling has been a problem.

We have had some leads which may indicate that he as from a "LOW" family (Robert LOW and Susanna MALCOME) of Clatto, Fife.

Marriage: Henry Lowe was married at the church in the parish of Saint John at Hackney, county of Middlesex: 4 Aug 1819 to Elizabeth Johnson. Witnesses:  Benjamin Crook, Sarah Jackson.
Death  Henry Loe, male, age 44, weaver, died 16 Jan 1841 at 9 Underwood Street, Mile End New Town:  informant Susannah Loe (dau) in attendance of 9 Underwood St.

In 1824 (birth of son Henry Francis) the family was living at Hackney Rd, St. Leonards, Shoreditch.  In 1826 (birth of son Francis Robert) the family was living at Curtain Rd, St. Leonards, Shoreditch.  In 1834 (birth of dau. Matilda) the family was living at#5 Blue Hart Court, Parish of St. Stephen, London.  His sons were (in order): Henry Francis, Francis Robert, John, George Henry.

The assumption has always been that Henry was born in London; however, there is no proof of this.  Any advice or suggestions MORE than welcome?
