Tompkins Bedforshire

My grandmother came from Stagsden in Bedfordshire her name was Tompkins. Her mother was a Poole I have information of her fathers side of the family but her mothers (Sophia Poole).......... zilch!

As anyone come across this name?

Sophia Poole married Joseph Tomkins December qtr 1871 Bedford 3b 763.

With this information you can order the certificate at www.gro.gov.uk and so get their father's names to help you further

I think gardening must be in the blood because my mother was a brilliant gardener and I love plants etc but I am afraid of insects so I get someone to do it for me!
