Could sks tell me where I can obtain birth and death details of James Armstrong, 8 years old, died on 25.8.1859 in Belturbet.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Suggest you look at the National Archives for Ireland site in Dublin.

http://www.nationalarchives.ie/#

You should find what you want there.
National Registration started in 1864,so your ancestor who died age 8 in 1895(b 1887?) should be in their indexes.
