I have a James Kendall b. abt 1803 Wolverhampton, is there any kind sole out there that could yhrow some light on how I might locate birth details etc.

Hi,

I may have the answer although Wolverhampton is in Staffordshire not Shropshire.
 
Baptism of James KENDALL, son of Benjamin & Mary, on 12 Nov 1805 at Saint Peters Collegiate Church, Wolverhampton.
