First suggestion,
read through some of the postings on this board, how others have started out.

In particular, think about what you want your web site to do, what you want to put on it.

Also have a think about the possibilities offered by your family history software. That might give you a start and you can add from there.
But first, have a browse, mull over a few ideas, and come and ask us again !

Would it be a good idea to design the content of my web space, ie colours, layout, photos, font etc and load the whole thing at once?
