Could some wonderful person please look-up the Parish Records for Berkeley in Gloucestershire, to find a Birth or a Christening in 1801 for "CHARLES LONG".
His parents were John LONG and Mary (Sherman) LONG, who married on the 09 April 1801 in Berkeley.
Going by the 1841 census for Berkeley, it stated John Long 70 farmer Mary Long 75 Charles Long 40 James Long 9
I am also trying to find out who "Mary Sherman" parents were.
If anyone can help with any of the above information I would be very grateful.
No Charles Long baptised in Berkeley 1801 or thereabouts.
There is a Charles Long aged 53 (Widower, butcher) living in Berkeley with his 8 year old grandson, Henry Dimery in the 1851 census for Berkeley. Both born in Berekely.
HO107 / 1957 / Folio 522 / Schedule 67
Is this yours?

Thankyou for all your trouble in trying to find CHARLES LONG for me.
The 53 year old Charles Long that you found on the 1851 census is of my line. The reason why he probably wasn't found in 1801 was I was out by his birth/chr years. I should of asked between 1798 and 1800.
Anyway thanks again for all your help, it is was very much appreciated.
