Thanks for those, Boongie Pam, When you search one of those sites you get the bagpipes blasting away - no reason to doubt which country you're searching in! Keith

Fionnghal, What an excellent link - a treasure trove of inscriptions. I like the background music too- is it "Amazing Grace"? Keith

Hi, Everyone, Just a brief note to say that last week, for four days, I was able to occasionally enjoy the skirl of pipes again during a stay in Dunoon. Found and photographed the DYSON gravestone that I'd wanted to see for so long. Dunoon is quite a quiet place now, even in the summer season, apart from when the 23rd, 24th, and 25th August comes along, and the Cowal Highland Games fills the place. A very helpful man at the Museum showed me some estate plans of the area, drawn on oiled silk from 1849-50, which were a mine of information... keith

I have just joined this group in order to tell you about a couple of my web pages with Argyll cemetery information.
There are gravestone photo images of most all of the Kintyre cemeteries and a few others.
The first allows you to search the list for your surname: http://www.ralstongenealogy.com/personquery4.php
The second lists the cemeteries with cemetery name links to an alphabetical list of the gravestones: http://www.ralstongenealogy.com/kintyrecemeteries.htm
