Hi,
Looking for any more information on my 4xGt-Grandmother Anne Dolby. From census returns she was born c.1781 in Springthorpe, but I know nothing about her prior to her marriage on June 22nd 1801 at Walkeringham, Notts, to William Revill.
From the IGI I would think it likely that she is of the following Dolby family:
Springthorpe - Thomas Dolby had the following children baptised:
Wm. Dolby 15th May 1728
Tho. Dolby 28th Jun 1732
Ann Dolby 4th Feb 1735
Jno. Dolby 5th Dec 1739 (died 8th Aug 1740)
Then the following baptisms - father again Thomas Dolby, presumably the one baptised in 1732 above:
William Dolby 26th Jun 1768
Thomas Dolby 31st May 1772
An Dolby 12th March 1775 (most likely baptism for my Anne Dolby)
There are no other baptisms for the surname Dolby in Springthorpe.
Any information very gratefully received.
