Plymouth Brethren in Dromore area
« on: Sunday 05 June 05 16:01 BST (UK) »

Hi to all,
I'm researching ancestors in the Dromore area around 1830-1900, who were Plymouth Brethren. Does anyone have information about where I might be able to get details of any records that may help me find out more about these ancestors.

It's not an answer but I also have Plymouth Brethren relatives from Dromore but I don't know where you can find out more info.

It's a bit silly really but a branch of that family came out to Oz a few years back and managed to annoy everyone (all their OZ relatives) so much that no-one was speaking to them after a while. So I have lost all track of a possible good source of information.

Otto:
Not sure if you have this. It is a very comprehensive bibliographyof the holdings at the John Ryland's University Library at Univeristy of Manchester. In addition to the books listed take a look at the description of the manuscripts holdings.

Hi Otto!

You might try Liverpool too ! - I'm pretty sure the  Ebenezer Chapel, Queens Drive
Walton was Plymouth Bretheren - if it's still there - they may be able to give you some advice - also you might try Lancashire FHS !!

Hello OTTO

strangely enough I also have been reading about the Plymouth Brethren in the Dromore area, although in the case of my ancestores (falloons) it is more hunch than fact.  However, I now seem to know an awful lot about them, but not what I needed to know particularly (names, families, journal etc - happy to share that with you in case there is anything there that would be of more use to you?)
