The frame didn't show so I retouched it. Can I get rid of the white lines round the image?

Jane

Hi Jane,
Sorry about the delay. I got my new computer on Saturday and I impoted all my settings from the old machine to the new one  and It changed a few minor things. I have it singing now though.

There is a couple of ways you can accomplish this, but I found the easiest way is to use your rectangular Marquee tool and drag it over one side of the time, then select the eyedropper tool to take a sample of the surrounding border, this will change your colour palette to the colour you clicked on. Next, select the paint pot tool and double click inside the selected area. You may have to do quite few clicks to get all of pixels to turn green. Once you have done one side successfully, repeat the process for the other three sides.

If that method doesn’t work, I will think of something else.

There a quite a few web sites that host your photos for free, the one I'm using is called photobucket. http://www.photobucket.com/ Once you have uploaded you photo to photobucket, you will get a confirmation window, see the picture at the bottom of this tutorial. You can then copy the img address, then paste it into your post on rootschat. Make sure there are no spaces between the square brackets and the web address.

Check this link to an earlier tutorial. http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,31111.msg137036.html#msg137036

Deadants

Just to let you know I haven't given up. I did a colourisation of my mum this week using layers. It was ok but I can do better so I have started again. I have learnt so much. I will post the photo when I have finished.

I have done my scales, arpegios and learnt all the Italian terms. I will post my latest masterpiece at the weekend.
