I'm trying to discover the parents of Ann Millard (born 1820) in Litton, Somerset, and her brother George (1831).
Ann married Philip Tyte and George married Sara Coombs and was a farmer at East Harptree.

The only George I could locate that went close to your requirements was working in Hinton Blewitt,Somerset.
George MILLARD,aged 19yrs, Servant, born East Harptree.,
No Sign of Ann MILLARD or TYTE.

1851 census for Litton Somerset.
Tyte Phil 36 Ag.Lab. born Litton. DEAF
Ann 31 born Litton
Edwin 10 born Litton
Sarah Ann 8 born Litton
James 6 born Litton
Elizabeth 4 born Litton
Eliza 1 born Litton.
The other info.you were given with George Gr/son is with the only Millard family in Litton,I would suspect that they are George and Ann's parents.

Elizabeth 14 yes
George 12 yes
Harriet 7 yes.
No sig of ant other Millards or any Tyte's.

Hi Joburg
Thanks for the Millard 1841 info. It looks as though this could be 'my' George.
I do have all the stuff on the Tyte family from 1851 onwards. It's strange they don't show up on the 1841 census as their first child, Edwin, was born in Litton that year - although it may show up as East Harptree or even Chewton Mendip.

Sorry - I don't have any information on this. My Millard details (all at East/West Harptree) are as follows if it's any help -
James Millard (1787) married Elizabeth Woodland
Their children -
Ann 1820 married Philip Tyte
James 1822-1876 married Mary Ann - had a daughter Matilda 1855
Elizabeth 1824-1825
Mary 1825
Elizabeth 1826-1826
Elizabeth 1827 married Simon Church
George 1829 married Sarah Ann Coombs
Harriet 1834
George and Sarah Coombs had
Mary Ann 1856 who married Edward Watts
James 1859
Samuel 1869-1876
As far as I can see the only possibility would be a son of Samuel or another line from a brother of James.
