Could I please request a lookup from the 1841 census for the following family:-
Henry GOULD aged 57, born Bickleigh DEV (near Plymouth) Elizabeth GOULD aged 56, born Whitchurch DEV Eliza GOULD aged 14, born Plymouth
They were living at 16 Higher Street, Plymouth Charles Martyr, in the 1851 census, and are believed to have had a shop in Higher Street in 1812. So I am hoping they might have been around the same address in 1841.
In the 1851 census, Henry and Eliza's son, Henry (jr), was recorded as a separate household at the same address (16 Higher Street) as his parents. In 1841 his family might have contained the following people:-
Henry GOULD aged 27, born Plymouth DEV, coal porter Sarah GOULD aged 24, born Lustleigh DEV possibly Richard Henry aged 0, born Plymouth DEV around 1841
There is a strong possibility that Henry and Elizabeth GOULD had a number of additional children. It would be very nice if some of these were suggested from the 1841 census returns.
Any census information on the GOULD family in Higher Street, Plymouth Charles, from 1841 would be of great interest.
Many thanks, Marc Roberts
