Greetings all:

I am delighted to find this smashing new tool for genealogy. I'm eager to talk with anyone interested in Berkshire/Oxfordshire links, particularly the villages of the Vale of White Horse, notably East Hendred. And warm welcomes given to anyone who thinks he/she might have family links. My family tree website -- a work, of course, in progress -- is on line at: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~hendred/tree.htm. Notable names: Hunt, Carter, Goodenough, Money, Wyatt, Lawrence, Kingston, Allen and on and on and on. Look forward to connecting with all and sundry.

Hello Bernard,
I'm glad you found us, Rootschat is a really friendly and extremely helpful site, (well I have found so) don't hesitate to post any request I'm sure someone will help if they can.
I visit the Berkshire Record Office sometimes and if I can help please ask,

Many thanks, Mr. Newbie. I know that I am related to a vast cousinage in the Berkshire/Oxfordshire heart of Anglo-Saxon England, with a few Normans sprinkled in. So I trust that some distant -- or otherwise -- rellie will shout my way.

Best

Whoops and dearie me. I am sorry to have trampled upon your sensibilities. I hope to tread lightly in all things. Meanwhile, isn't "gender" a grammatical construct? Do you mean to say you are of the other sex? A woman, perchance?

Your humble servant, ma'am.
