Hi all,

I'm currently researching my Muir lineage and have come to a hiccup with Mathew Muir. I believe he was born to Parents John Muir and Margaret Nimmo on 15 November 1799 in Linlithgow, West Lothian. My stumbling block is that my GGG grandfather arived in Tasmania Australia with a Mathew and Peter Muir in 1834. I was wondering if anyone new if James was Mathew's brother or son. The first Mathew arrived in Hobart per the Numa in the same year.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
