My reason for digging! A baby nutkin!

I would love to find anyone Else researching the Shields family in the area of Owthorne, Paull and Kingston Upon Hull. I have been able to trace them from 1901 back to about 1766. I descend from a daughter Emily Shields who married Thomas Nixon in 1890 who immigrated to the US in 1907.
I know they were farm laborers. Here is a list of the men in this line. I have some of the siblings in the family and all the census returns I can find (expect 1841)
William Shields born 1833 in Hull (died in Bilton about 1910- head gardener of an estate) married Fanny Clark about 1856.
Joseph Shields born 1800 in Owthorne and died in 1858 in Hull. Worked as a warhouse manager for granary. Married Elizabeth Whisker in 1826.
Samuel Shields born 1766 in Owthorne. Married Isabell Gipson in 1795. Farm Laborer.
Robert Shields died in 1769 in Owrthorne.

I hope you are feeling better. I am sure a long and tedious recovery from a stroke.
I would love anything about where my family lived. I have fine tuned some of my tree with regards to the family. Below is what I now about the Shields family. Would love to see a photo of the house the resided. I will PM my email. Thank you- Kristin
Emily Shields, daughter of William Shields and Fanny Clark , was born on 25 Oct 1868 in Bilton, Skirlaugh, Yorkshire, England and died on 13 Feb 1967 in Staten Island, NY at age 98.
Emily married Thomas Tyson Nixon [41] [MRIN: 18], son of William Parkinson Nixon and Rebecca Hancock, on 25 Jan 1890 in Sculcoates, Hull, Yorkshire, England.
Children from this marriage were:
i. Emily Nixon was born on 18 Aug 1890 in Bilton, Skirlaugh, Yorkshire, England and died in Apr 1973 in Queens, NY at age 82.
ii. William Philip Nixon was born on 4 Aug 1898 in Bilton, Yorkshire, England.
iii. Olive Nixon was born on 18 May 1894 in Bilton, Yorkshire, England.
iv. Evelyn Nixon was born on 20 Sep 1893 in Bilton, Yorkshire, England.
v. Leonard Nixon was born on 16 Aug 1904 in Bilton, Yorkshire, England and died in 1998 in Conneticut at age 94.

2. William Shields, son of William Shields and Frances Milner was born in 1836 in Preston, Yorkshire, England and died on 18 Oct 1905 in Bilton, Skirlaugh, Yorkshire, England at age 69.

Hello Kristen, sorry its been a while since I have replied, but its not through lack of trying, since I last contacted you it done nothing but rain, Hull and Bilton etc has been flooded in total 37,000 homes need help, fortunately ours is ok and may I say so has the house that Mr Shields family where is also safe. I am hoping of giving you the research you want, I think I have tracked down who your Mr Shield worked for, I also think he might have been the gardener at High Farm, If you pm me I can explain, sorry I lost your PM, that was one reason you where ignored, Incidently I do often pop onto roots chat chat room, perhaps you could pop on there
either way I will write soon.
