Hi Everyone
I would be most grateful if someone could provide me with census details for 1841 and 1851 for Thomas and Martha WOODHOUSE of Minsterley. Thomas was a farmer.
Also, are there any details of John and Mary WOODHOUSE, also of Minsterley, who were probably Thomas's parents?
Many thanks Filz Australia

Hi Filz,
I found these for you,
Thomas Woodhouse, H, M, 40?, farmer 103 acres Martha, W, M,32? John, S, 4 Mary, Daur, 2, All were born in Minsterley. Apologies but I cannot be certain on these ages, it is not very clear.
I could not find a John and Mary but did find these in the house next door
Samuel Woodhouse, H, M, 46, Farmer 111 acres Mary, W, M, 53? Both born Minsterley. A possible brother to Thomas maybe?
There were servants and lodgers at both houses. Just let me know if you want the details of these too

Dear Allie
You are very kind to have looked this up for me. Am I correct in assuming that this is the 1851 Census?
Yes, Thomas, Martha and family certainly appear to be my folks. With regard to Samuel, I think you are right in thinking he is a brother to Thomas. I had previously found some Minsterley christenings of children of John and Mary Woodhouse and Thomas and Samuel were two of the names.
Yes, I would appreciate names of any guests and servants.
Thank you again. Filz

Dear Allie
Again many thanks. Any information helps to compose a picture and even the name of a family servant can serve as a link to indicate one is on the right track.
Is there any research I can do for you in Australia?
Best wishes Filz
