Hi Liz,

I have looked at the 1851 for Sutton Maddocks and whilst there were two Howell(s) families, neither had Ellen.

Do you have any other names in the family to look for?

Sutton Maddock is very close to the Shropshire/Staffordshire border there are only two Howells that tie up to the age in the 61 census.  There is one living at Meole Brace, her birth place is listed as Pontesbury and there is a Ellen living in Wolverhampton area but her place of birth is given as Wolves. 

There is an Ellen Howells born at Sutton but age is given as 6 living in the Madeley area.

Do you know her parent's names.

I do not have any information on the family , what I do know is that ellen married in the madeley area any information will be useful
