Does anyone have the details of the best place to buy the Birth, Marriage, or Death license. CheshireBMD charge  7 pounds  so do LancashireBMD if you can find your long lost relative on their listing which have the necessary file numbers.
National archives charge 11pounds 50p, the best one I ever found  was the Manchester Central Library Archive department which once upon a time would make a photocopy of the original documents for 50p + post. This has been a wonderful way for me to  gather many relatives names I never knew of.
Now I am about to send away for 6 more licenses and am reluctant to spend 72pounds converted to my Australian Dollars makes it about $185.00 I do not have.
If you have any good ideas please pass them on.

If you find them on the freebmd site you can order them and pay for them online now from the gro for £7 all up and they only took 2 weeks to come to New Zealand
