Hi,
Would anyone have any information (or know where I can find it online) about the Ware Independent Chapel (on the IGI it is listed as Old Meeting, Dead Lane Independent Chapel).
My ancesters (surname JOSOLYNE + variants c.1797-1840) seemed all to have been christened at this Chapel, so I presume they were part of the regular congregation as well.
What I would like to find out is, are there any records left for this church? Where can I find them? and what kind of information would they contain? What kind of people attended? etc etc the - list goes on!!
If anyone has an interest in non-conformist chapels I would like to hear from you. It's more interesting to find out about how people lived rather than just to record their names.
Many thanks
Ann

Hi Rick,
Thanks for that. I have just found out (about 10 mins ago - thanks to Jap) that they have recently opened a LDS centre in Warsaw, Poland. I hope now I can start to solve some of my "brick walls"!
Many thanks

Just in case you have not yet found the information. The Ware Independent Chapel (later Ware Congregational Church) in the 1970's joined with the Methodist Church in Ware to become the Lea Church, Ware. This was in the old Independent Chapel building. I think you can find a picture of the chapel by putting Lea Church, Ware up on Google. Happy Hunting Graham

Hi,
The December 05 posting was a follow on from the June one - I have found info on the Leaside Church but was curious if there was still a graveyard from the old Chapel.
