I'm live in Ottawa, Canada and I'm trying to trace the Adams family that lived in Wickford, Essex in the late 50's early 60's. My Aunt's name was Ruby with husband Lionel (Walter Lionel) Adams. They had children Yvonne, Cleon, Wendy, Mavis and Robin. Lionel was a police constable with the Essex County Police. Any help, or leads, will be greatly appreciated, Martin

Hi Helen, Thank you so much...this looks like a great lead !! I'm going to follow it up on Genes Reunited. I'll let you know how I make out...I'm actually quite excited at the idea I might have found my long lost cousins of some 50 years !! Thanks again for this wonderful piece of info. Best regards, Martin

Hi Helen, Well it was great while it lasted but I have just realised that can't be my Adams family......Yvonne would have been much older than that !! At the time I remember them in the late 50's she was already grown up and living away from home. Thanks again, unfortunately my excitement didn't last long !! Thanks again anyway, Best regards, Martin

Hi Helen, Yes it was the combination of Robin and Yvonne that got me excited, it wasn't until later that I realized the age discrepancy.....I hadn't realized Robin was such a common name !! Actually I have already emailed the Essex Police twice but unfortunately they haven't seen fit to reply !! I also have a message posted on the Genes Reunited site. I'm just hoping I can find a lead to them. Thanks again for all your interest. Best regards, Martin

Thanks for the tip "EC", I've bookmarked that site and intend to check it out, that would definitely appear to be my "Walter Lionel Adams".
Thanks again, Martin
