i think emma was born in/at st marys about 1833 john dont know where but born about 1833

Hi Terry

There are only 47 Ullathorne's showing in the index for the 1871 census, but none of them are shown as being born Reading or even Berkshire.  Its possible that they are there under a different spelling, so I'll check some others.

If you have any other information about Emily that would help, let me know.

Must have missed this in my first trawl:

1871 - looks like No 1 Morpeth Cottages, Twickenham

ULLATHORNE
Emma, Head, 36, Married, Accoucheuse, born Hurts Berkshire
Emily, Daur, 16, born Camberwell Surrey
Francis, Son, 8, born Malta
Adelaida, Daur, 5, Teddington Middlesex

I don;t know where John is, nor what an Accoucheuse is!  Someone else on Rootschat might know.

Paul for your info that u will never use again  an ACCOUCHEUSE is another word for a midwife (not qualified)
