Catholic or Anglican?
Came across a website today to do with Catholic, Haven't got the details here but can forward from work, if Catholic? i typed in "Salford Diocese" into search engine and found family history link, it wasn't much use for me, but might help you.

I still feel they were probably Anglican or Methodist, but I'll keep the details for Catholic burials for when I've exhausted current possibilties.
