OMG Heather, you have no idea what that could mean to me! I have been stuck on James (my g grandfather) for over a year and he has driven me crazy. He & my g grandmother were never married - well she was - to someone else LOL I have ordered certs only to find out it wasn't him. Only yesterday I found William and Sophia by pure chance living a couple of streets away from where he lived in 1891 in Cumberland with 2 children b in Staffs. I then traced back and found them with James aged 19. I still couldnt find a birth that fit and maybe thats the reason!!!! James gives Wolverhampton as birthplace in 1881, Wednesbury in 1901 and if I have right family, Walsall in 1871! All very near to each other but diff reg districts! I am convinced it is him cos he is an iron worker and father has same occupation....seems too much of a co-incidence! I dont suppose you could possibly try to find them in 1871 for me just to check that the Palmers aren't still there?Huh Ohhhh I am soooo excited!
Many many thanks

Grin I love it when someone gets excited! I've tried searching on each name individually for 1871 and haven't come up with anything likely ...

I guess its too much of a co-incidence anyway with same christian names and places of birth! Also James Palmer had same occupation as William Thompson so maybe they worked together. Oh I wonder if history repeated itself. Maybe Sophia legged it with my gg grandfather taking the kids just as James did with g grandmother and her youngest ROFL. I could write a book about this line of my family, you wouldnt believe it!
Wow, I really cant believe this latest turn of events!!!!! You have made my day! Is it any wonder I am warped LOL Gawd I wish my dad was still alive, the grief he gave me, I would have loved to have seen his face when I let all the skeletons out of the cupboard!!!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
