Hello,
Please can anyone help?
I am looking for the Bapt. of Alexander B. Dickie who was born approx. 1880 in Greenock.
On the 1881 Census he is 6mths. old.
I need to know who his parents were.
All help appreciated.

Hi Inchworm,
I had some credit left over on Scotland's People and looked it up for you:
Alexander Blue Dickie b. 5 Sept 1880 (7.30pm) at 57 Inverkip? Shed, Greenock, Renfrew.
I am afraid he was illegitimate though and the cert. only states his mother as Jane Dickie (Domestic Servant)
I hope this helps

Wow! What a surprise. I never imagined that he belonged to Jane. I though he was one of her sisters. She was my Grt Grandmother and this is the first I've ever heard of him. I wondered if he died as a child, as I have never ever heard anyone mention him.
