welcome to RootsChat !
If you don't already know the Dorset Online Parisch Clerks site at www.dorset-opc.com then try it and see. They have a LARGE database and a good search engine.
e.g.
cutler gives 104 hits
Pitfield gives 30 hits
but if you know a parish, or any relationships, then you can try combinations, using
the "Find ALL words" search
e.g.
"cutler pitfield marriage" or "pitfield weymouth" etc, etc
You can also post specific enquiries here on RootsChat, as well

Any help on the Phillips would be great thanks. At present mine seem to be from the Broadwinsor area. So i guess they could have a connection maybe with the ones from Tollpuddle? With kind regards Donna
