Hi Everyone I am trying to find any information relating to CHARLES and LAURA PEXTON ( nee GILL). They lived in sheffield in the early 1900`s . I believe they had four children,
RUBY DOUGLAS dob 1202/1917 JACK ? CHARLES was a joiner by trade I do not know if Charles was born in sheffield, but I have hit a brickwall here as until I can get a dob I can`t match him to any of the Charles pextons on the cencus. I`m a newbie at this , so any help or comments would be much appreciated !.
cheers Ian.

Hi Winston, thanks for your help,I do know of some pextons from kirkheaton, but not the family you listed!. I`ve been to the village graveyard and there are thirteen gravestones with pextons ( none of the names you gave) so I`m hoping this family is the one that moved on to sheffield. The charles you mentioned would have been 31 in 1917 when my dad was born, which I think could be plausible . So thanks again, you may have helped me to get through my BRICKWALL.
regards, Ian.
