Hi All

Something I noticed at the record office today and thought I'd let everyone in on it unless I'm the last to know Smiley

Alot of marriages had the same witnesses, I wonder how often this happened in different areas.

Hi
it was quite common, they were usually connected to the church, and as a rule could read and write, as you will see a X and the name of the person getting Married and someone has written by the X Their Mark
