Hi all,could SKS please check 1851 for Matthew Culverhouse born Ashridge 1842 and sister Esther 1845.In 1861 they are with widowed father in Bellingdon.I need to know details of mother.Thanks,Pete Cool

Thanks Ruth,I shall have to log on to confused.com now as my worst fears have been realised.In 1841 Elizabeth is living with Eliza and Mary no sign of Thomas,in 1851 they are all together and in 1861 Thomas is living with Matthew and Esther at Bellingdon,no sign of Elizabeth or the girls.
I had all the children but to two sets of parents so its back to the drawing board.Thanks again,Pete Cool

Nothing to do with Matthew but name rang a bell.....heard that before from me.

Just a coincidence but when I was looking at my copy of the land tax in 1783 for my bones it suddenly registered.

Richard Culverhouse paid £14.3.4 in the parish of Eggington. He was the occupier and Mr Clarke the proprieter.
