Looking for a JAMES WILSON born c 1840 in Kendal area,so would of been round about 10-11 at time of census. On his 2nd marriage certificate he is named as James WILLAN or maybe WILLIAM, Wilson. On his sons birth certificate he is named as THOMAS James Wilson. He had married before 1871 census-but don,t know who to,he is down as a widower & living with brother-in-law,ROBERT HOLMES and his his sister ESTHER(nee WILSON).So his first wifes maiden name must of been HOLMES.They were living in Ambleside in 1871.He married ALICE M. NOBLE in Windermere in 1875 & they had a son THOMAS EDWARD CHARNOCK WILSON born 26/12/1876 at Lindal Cote Farm near Ulverston.I KNOW FOR CERTAIN JAMES,S FATHER WAS ALSO CALLED JAMES.I THINK his mother MAY of been called Agnes and he MUST of had a sister called Esther.James junior in later life became a coach builder/painter & I have him on 1881 census & also 1891.I MAY have him on 1901 also but am not positive. He MAY of had siblings:Agnes born c1853,Esther born c1847 & Margaret born c1850.These are all on 1861 census in St.Georges parish Kendal along with parents-James(born c 1817 in Kendal) and Agnes(born c 1819 also in Kendal) BUT-no sign of James junior. If I can only find him on 1851(or even 1841 census) I could match him up-probably with these parents & therefore acquire a birth certificate for him,a marriage certificate for his parents & a marriage certificate for his first marriage-ALL of which I have been unable to obtain as I do not have DEFINITE names, dates, etc this has led to me hitting a brick wall.Until I have this evidence-I can,t go back any further with family tree.If I get this info I could probably help someone else with their tree as I have plenty of other WILSON info. Many thanks,Paul.
