hi could anyone do a quick look up for me trying to confirm age of my grt grt grt grt grandfather james dewar married in april 1816 to jane brown in maker cornwall his death cert has given an age that has thrown right off course so would like to confirm his age if poss

I'm not aware that ages were given in the parish register for marriages pre-1837 (I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong Smiley ).  If your great x4 grandfather lived until the time of the 1841 census you'd get some idea from that.  It can be quite frustrating, I know - I've got one ancestor who altered his age every time the census was taken and it's different again on his marriage and death certificates! Roll Eyes
