Hi Paul
The only female Brown born 1864ish in Newport Pagnell on the 1871 census is AMELIA BROWN and the family is living in Northamptonshire, but if I remember when I looked for her on the 1901 with John Smith weren't they living in Northants?
Do you think that could be her? The whole family was born Newport Pagnell.

They were married in Cardiff I think John and Annie but returned to Northants, Duddington.
I'm not sure if Amelia could be the one but you never know in this game LOL.
